Purpose of the Role:

The IT Support Executive will ensure seamless day-to-day functioning of the organisation’s IT infrastructure, support staff with technical issues, manage software and hardware systems, and uphold data security protocols. This role is crucial in enabling teams to deliver mission- critical services efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

1.IT Infrastructure Management

  • Maintain and update all hardware and software systems across the organisation.

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.

  • Coordinate with external vendors for repair, maintenance, and procurement.

2.User Support G Troubleshooting

  • Provide first-line support for staff across all locations (in-person and remote).

  • Resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and application-related issues promptly.

  • Manage user accounts, email setups, and software installations.

3.Data Security G Compliance

 

  • Ensure regular backups, system updates, and antivirus protection.

  • Support compliance with Foundation’s IT Policy C Data protection laws (e.g., India’s DPDP Act 2023).

  • Monitor potential threats and coordinate on cyber incident responses.

4.Software G Application Oversight

  • Administer commonly used software, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zoom, etc.

  • Manage licenses, renewals, and ensure efficient usage.

  • Support implementation and training of new digital tools and platforms.

5.Documentation G Reporting

  • Maintain IT asset inventory, user logs, and ticketing system.

  • Prepare monthly IT performance and issue resolution reports.

Essential Ǫualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.

  • Proficiency in Windows/Mac OS, Office 365, networking, and common IT tools.

  • Good understanding of cybersecurity best practices.

  • Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical users.

  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience working with non-profits or mission-driven organisations.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based services and CRM tools.

  • Exposure to IT policy compliance and audit requirements.

 

Work Environment:

  • Requires occasional travel to project sites.

  • May involve support outside of standard working hours during critical situations.
