Aangan is Child Protection focused organization on a mission to make child protection everyone’s business so that even the most vulnerable child can be safe everywhere, every day. We work with key stakeholders (communities, schools, police and gram panchayats) in Aspirational districts, climate hazard zones and other hotspots where children are most vulnerable to harm. Children in difficult circumstances need adults around them who can intervene and support them quickly and with sensitivity. Given the high incidence of child harm in the country we think that adults everywhere – government officials, schoolteachers, community members, families – need to know how to identify a child in need of protection and how to respond to them.
Position Summary
The Data Analyst role with the Knowledge and Impact team at Aagna Trust is key in transforming data into actionable insights to drive strategic and operational decisions to further the cause of Child Protection. You will be working on data form Aangan’s Child Protection Program, research projects and program evaluations. This position involves analysing data, visualizing and presenting findings. The role reports to Senior Manager (Knowledge and Impact) and works closely with the Head K&I.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Processing and Analysis: Clean, and analyse data from various sources to generate insights and support decision-making processes, reports and stakeholder engagement. Data analysis is a very critical responsiility - to understand data and share insights, trend analysis
- Data Visualization: Create visually appealing and informative reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Data Mining: Identify opportunities for data mining and advanced analytics to uncover hidden insights and opportunities.
- Reporting: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to support organizational needs and requirements.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and related technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in data analysis, data visualization, and statistical modelling.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as Excel, SPSS, STATA, R
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
