Part-Time Clinical Music Therapist
Key Responsibilities
- collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ascertain whether individuals qualify for music therapy.
- Designing musical interventions based on therapeutic goals to improve families psychological, physical, and social health.
- Providing music therapy sessions.
- Inviting families to interact by encouraging them to sing and dance.
- Monitoring families during musical interventions and measuring the effectiveness of sessions.
- Recording and videotaping families on a periodic basis to measure effectiveness and progress.
- Keeping records of families’ progress.
- Conducting biannual assessments to re-evaluate families.
- Maintaining musical instruments.
- A bachelor's degree in Music therapy along with high musical competence and proficiency of a musical instrument is required for music teacher positions.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
