The Chief Marketing Officer will broadly be responsible for driving the brand narrative, developing marketing tools and deploying effective ways to reach out to relevant audience.
The role is strategic in nature, with a significant emphasis on new-age marketing management. The position will be responsible for owning and driving existing marketing communication strategies and have freedom to evolve new methods.
Besides acting as a brand custodian, the CMO will play a key role in supporting fundraising functions through the power of authentic narrative and effective marketing tactics.
Responsibilities:
Drive all the matters relevant to Communication, Marketing, and supporting Fundraising. The profile must have strategic as well as tactical expertise in the subject areas
Develop strategic communications planning for dissemination and promotion of audio-visual, graphical, printed, stories, cross-promotional materials etc. in multiple channels with the marketing objectives
Meaningfully engage influencers, thought leaders and public figures to augment the communication reach
Lead a team of content & creative, marketing, media relations and design professionals to achieve the department’s goals
Manage various agencies, experts, partners and associates to their true potential
Support requests related to performance marketing, lead generation, acquisition, retention, and servicing functions in the areas of institutional and individual supporters
Study analytics, develop insights, gather market intelligence and apply scientific techniques continuously
Conceive new campaigns and optimize the existing ones
Establish collaborations, associations and cross-leveraging opportunities
Enable Technology integration and continual upgrade
Desired Competencies:
Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in either digital marketing or marketing communication
Knowledge of managing inbound marketing systems, familiarity with performance marketing and brand marketing
Excellent people, project and deadline management skills
Competency to optimize mass media to generate brand exposure and to leverage influencers and public figures
Ability to appreciate creative, audio-visual production and other communication tools
Aptitude in the areas of donor journey, partnership cycle both in institutional and individual aspects
Qualification and Experience:
Post Graduate in Communications or MBA in Marketing
