Job Title: Senior Program Officer – Training and Implementation
Location: Morena / Betul / Barwani
Role Summary:
The Foundation is working towards improving Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition outcomes in India. The Senior Program Officer – Training and implementation is responsible for implementing programs in one block of a district. S/he works under guidance of Program Lead, implements the program at the grassroots, develops and maintains government relationships at Block, Sector, and Village Level. S/he also assists the Program Lead in managing district government relations, building capacities of new recruits and day-to-day troubleshooting/ problem solving.
Responsibilities:
Planning and implementing program activities in one to two blocks. Interventions may span supply and demand sides
Ensuring effective program roll out and achievement of improved health and nutrition outcomes at block level
Organizing and facilitating regular capacity building workshops and sector/block level meetings on different themes related to MCHN and program interventions.
Coordinating closely with village/block/district government officials to ensure quality delivery of the program.
Collecting and using monitoring data, sharing it with block government officials and taking corrective actions to fill gaps in program implementation.
Developing ideas and generating learnings from on-the-field implementation to inform program design and implementation.
Supporting the Program Lead in developing implementation strategies and in areas such as procurement, team building, budgeting etc.
Representing the Program Lead with the district administration as and when required.
Building capacities of new recruits (Program Officers and Fellows) and supporting them in troubleshooting/ problem-solving day-to-day issues.
Preparing required reports for donors, government, and internal dissemination and ensuring timely submission.
Ensuring robust documentation of program activities, case studies, government orders, etc. Supporting knowledge dissemination among team.
Developing training materials for various program themes.
Working with monitoring and evaluation team on data quality, monitoring visits and follow- ups; ensuring quick resolution of data collection issues, if any.
Other tasks as required by evolving programmatic, organizational, and environmental requirements.
