Purpose: The Portfolio Manager plays a central role in developing portfolio strategy, leading end■to■end grant management within the assigned portfolio, and managing networking and partnerships.
Responsibilities:
Portfolio Strategy - Lead development of portfolio■level strategy . - Develop rolling and annual work plans for the focus areas and team. - Conduct budgeting and forecasting for grantee projects and initiatives. - Examine the ecosystem and generate new ideas and initiatives. - Capture trends, opportunities, and propose relevant projects. - Contribute to long■term growth of focus areas and the institution. - Build and share knowledge internally.
Grant Management - Lead end■to■end grantee selection from sourcing to project design. - Ensure programs are feasible, viable, budget■aligned, and scalable. - Process grant applications and manage disbursements. - Handle partner■related issues and support new partners. - Govern M&E; indicators at the grant level. - Renew partner agreements and manage account■related issues.
External Engagement / Partnerships - Build and manage relationships with external stakeholders. - Lead assessment and selection of partnership opportunities. -
Candidate Profile:
Qualification: - MSW / MBA / Equivalent graduate from a reputed university.
Experience: - Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
Capabilities: - Alignment with values, vision, and mission . - Commitment to social impact sector. - Expertise in program design methodology. - Strong budget management skills. - Ability to provide leadership in partnerships and resource mobilization. - Strong experience in managing development projects/programs. - Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
