Apply medical knowledge, skills for diagnosis, and prevention of complications. Carry out outpatient consultations, prescribing the necessary treatment respecting medical protocols.
Keep the patient and/or his/her family informed about the illness and provide appropriate explanations about the treatment to follow, checking they have understood.
Ensure that all Medical records of each patient are maintained as per standard protocols.
Ensure ongoing training of the medical/paramedical multidisciplinary team in order to optimize the quality of care.
Knows and ensures all medical protocols are followed and implemented, checking universal precautions are followed at all times and reducing biohazard risks and improving infection control. Ensures professional confidentiality is respected.
Supporting the other members of the medical team (e.g. District Program Manager, Block Coordinator, Nurses, Pharmacist etc.) if needed at the Mobile Medical Vans.
Referring patients, if indicated.
Participate in regular internal and external meetings.
Work details: This is a full-time position and 8 hours of daily work will be expected from the Medical Officer.

Education:
Essential: MBBS degree with full & valid registration from Medical Council of India or State Medical Councils
Desirable: Diploma in Medicine
Experience: Preferable 1-year experience as a Medical Officer; prior experience in conducting Mobile camps
Languages: Proficiency in Marathi is mandatory, Hindi and English essential
