ROLE DESCRIPTION |
Communication Managers are in charge of overseeing all internal and external communications for a company, ensuring its message is consistent and engaging. |
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy: Develop a coherent strategy and work plan for foundation as a whole (internal and external program and corporate facing) working closely with foundation CEO and the leadership team. Continue to drive key messages and audiences for the basis of foundation communications on an ongoing basis. |
Corporate communications: Oversee development of the foundation website, email communications, brochures, annual report, social media and presentations at major conferences and forums. Lead PR efforts in foundation and coordinate approaches with other foundation related forums and organizations. Co-develop tailored newsletters (working with relevant parts of the organization) for key external audiences. |
Programme communications: Working closely with the PHs, develop and implement a clear and compelling communications journey for foundation teachers, Education Leaders and Functions, to accelerate impact of the core programme. Oversee and track impact of the approach and refine accordingly based on feedback and data. |
Strategic communications and advocacy: Design foundation’s efforts to communicate a radically different approach within the sector to education change and reform and align with senior stakeholders and work with CEO and Leadership team to share that agenda at major forums |
Internal Communications: work closely with the CEO and Leadership team to develop regular internal updates and perspectives to keep foundation staff fully engaged in progress, and communicate progress and learning |
Internal Capacity Building: work with foundation teams across foundation to develop appropriate communications approaches, style guidelines and best practices; support implementation through training and coaching. |
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS:

Post Graduates in Journalism, Marketing or Communications, English Literature |
