Curriculum team designs curriculam for the “bootcamps” across our countries and professions. Trainings are based on the technical and behavioral skills and mindsets specific to a given profession determined by our team’s analysis. Technical and behavioral skills and mindsets are taught and practiced in an integrated way throughout the bootcamp training. To ensure quality of training delivery, we follow a cascade model where trainers are supported by Master Trainers beginning from their onboarding to ongoing support in the classroom.

About the role

We are seeking a talented Curriculum and Quality Manager who will lead training operations and participate in co-development of curricular resources through the launch and scale up of the Organisation's program in India. The Curriculum and Quality Manager will report to the Curriculum and Quality Lead. He/she will primarily work with  India team, the  Global curriculum and instruction team, employers, training providers, and national governmental agencies. The role requires three primary responsibilities: Master Trainer and trainer professional development, program quality and improvement, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Trainer Onboarding and Development (30%)

  • Deliver Generation’s trainer onboarding (online and / or in-person), preparing them to deliver a curriculum and surfacing trainer strengths and growth areas.
  • Manage the classroom observation cycle, including conducting observations and documenting trainer performance data.
  • Facilitate interactive coaching sessions to support trainer growth and achieve professional and personal development goals.

2. Sr. Instructional Coach Development (35%)

  • Support the Curriculum & Quality Lead to determine how to expand and scale the use of Master Trainers to ensure program quality.
  • Build capacity of Master Trainers to deliver online and/or in-person onboarding to trainers.
    Coach Master Trainers to be able to execute the Observation and Coaching cycle effectively
  • Facilitate interactive coaching sessions to support Master Trainer growth and achieve professional and personal development goals.

3. Stakeholder Engagement (15%)

  • Motivate, engage, and communicate with trainers and other key stakeholders (e.g., operations staff, Center Managers, Training Partners, Government bodies, etc.) to ensure alignment in trainer and Master Trainer professional development.

4. Program Development and Quality Improvement (20%)

  • Drive regular governance structures and lead parts of the training value chain to maintain quality of training delivery as  scales across partners and geographies.
  • Thought partner with the Global and India Curriculum and Instruction team to revise existing curricula and trainer support structures and develop new materials based on stakeholder feedback or scaling to new roles.

Required experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a master’s degree in education/Adult education/ social work/development sector
  • Minimum of 3-4 years in training/teaching experience, preferably with adult learners (e.g., on-the-job training, new hire onboarding, classroom instruction, coaching, etc.)
  • Minimum 1-2 year in coaching trainers/teacher.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with a track record of managing projects and delivering operational targets.
    Professional demeanor, excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • High degree of independence and experience with self-management.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience working with educational institutions, and/or has knowledge of current trends in adult learning, issues, and the players in the skills training landscape
  • Comfort with using technology to collaborate (e.g., Google docs, Zoom video conference, good analytical skills etc.) Mindsets
  • Proactive collaborator, willing to propose solutions and ideas to challenges based on expertise, debate their merits, and make final recommendations for trainer support
  • Self-reflective and open to frequent feedback from organisation and employer and training partners
  • Willing to travel at short notice to various centers across India
